The Collini-Center is a 95 meter high apartment tower with a semi derelict office tower adjacent. The two towers are connected by a passage which is now completely abandoned after the last tenant, the cinema moved out in late 2019. The center also hosted a swimming pool, which was permanently closed 30 years earlier, in 1990.
The appartment tower has 515 apartments spread across 30 floors.
In 1984 the city of Mannheim bought the smaller office tower and the passage connecting the two towers for 32 Million Deutsch Mark. The office tower is since 2012 fully encapsulated in scaffolding, and is scheduled for demolition sometime in the near future.
