About this page
In mid-2020, I impulsively bought a Sony Mavica FD7 and instantly fell in love with it. The Mavica FD7 is a charming little 0.3 MP camera that uses 3.5-inch floppy disks for storage. Thanks to the relatively small file size of the pictures, each 1.44 MB disk can hold around 20 to 25 images. Inspired by this, I created a WordPress page called Mavica FD7 Blog to write and share photo journals. However, after publishing just two posts, I lost interest and shifted my focus to other pursuits.
In 2024, I started thinking about creating a blog to share random writings and photos—until I realized I already had one. So, I decided to rename and redesign the Mavica FD7 Blog and relaunched it after four years of inactivity.
By October 2024, I launched a Neocities site called Iskra to serve as a hub for all my projects. Moving forward, I plan to publish my writings and photo journals there, as the Iskra WordPress site is now dormant.
About me
Hi there,
my name is Sasha. I’m a 30-something Yugoslav guy living in Germany. I’m passionate about a wide range of things: architecture, motorcycles, camping, old cameras, new computers, used books, vinyl records and CDs, video hoarding, history, politics, plants, and just about everything in between.
I used to mod a video game called Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic. You can check out my Steam Workshop here.
I ride a Honda CB500X motorcycle, which I’ve named Iskra. For my other creative projects, I also use the name "Iskra," which means "spark" in all Slavic languages. It’s also the inspiration behind this webpage's name.
I enjoy tinkering with my PC and love automating things around the house on my own—completely free from the watchful eyes of big corporations. I’m highly allergic to ads and will go to great lengths to block and hide them.
My latest project involves creating my own IPTV television channels using self-hosted software called ErsatzTV.
